Okay, so I went totally nuts and went to see The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus to the cinema... twice. Yes. You read correctly. First time yesterday with Lucianne, and today I went with my Mum and sister. One thing I have to say about it is that it's one of those movies that can really catch your eye. All those colours, nonsense everywhere, having watched like an hour and a half of the movie and you still can't figure out what's going to happen next. Heath. Oh, Heath. It's a pity you died, quite a pity. I still cannot believe it, watching you come and go across the screen and thinking "This is it. The last thing everybody will see of him, gone". Jeez, that gave me the skeebies (for that last word, check out The Lovely Bones and you'll get what I'm saying). By the way, while we were getting tickets to watch "The Imaginarium...", I went down to KEL asking if they got the book I wanted (The Lovely Bones, just in case you didn't know). They did. The thing was that we were running late, so I decided (not willingly) to buy it later, after we'd watched the movie. But I had this hunch; it was like I knew that if I didn't buy it at that moment, I would be too late when I came back. And it was. The salesman told me he had just sold the last one right after we left the cinema. Shit.
Luckily, another salesman went quickly out of the store and came back saying he'd found it. The last copy was right on display on the shop's window. I'm starting to think fate had something to do with this whole story...
... I'm just happy I got my book, I'm finding really hard to put it down (God, I missed that feeling!).
